It’s a fantastic 4k TV with a revolutionary QD-OLED screen that combines the best parts of OLED and Quantum Dot technology to provide ideal deep blacks with no blooming around bright highlights. It also boasts a plethora of additional features, providing something for everyone. The built-in Tizen OS smart interface is simple to use and offers a wide range of streaming apps and games. It’s an excellent TV for console gamers who want to get the most out of their new Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5. It has four HDMI connectors that support 4k @ 120Hz gaming and variable refresh rate technology to avoid screen tearing.

LG C2 OLED
The LG C2 OLED is the greatest mid-range TV we’ve tested. It’s a premium TV with remarkable picture quality, especially in dark areas, and a well-rounded display that’s great for a range of applications. OLEDs like this one are unique in that they lack a backlight and instead can switch off pixels individually, resulting in a near-infinite contrast ratio and no blooming around bright objects. It looks great in gloomy settings, whether you’re viewing movies or playing video games. Even in well-lit rooms, it gets bright enough to fight glare in most circumstances, and the reflection handling is excellent, but the colors aren’t as bright as the Samsung S95B OLED because it has an earlier model of the OLED panel. It’s a great TV for watching a variety of entertainment because it has no trouble upscaling lower-resolution video, from DVDs to native 4k movies. Its webOS smart technology is extremely simple to use if you want to watch your favorite shows and movies. The Samsung QN90B QLED is best suited for a dim or gloomy space, so if you’re searching for a mid-range TV with better brightness to combat glare, this is a wonderful option.

Hisense U8H
If you want to save money while still getting high-end features, the Hisense U8H is the greatest lower mid-range TV we’ve evaluated. It’s a great TV with great reflection handling and peak brightness, so it can easily overcome glare in a bright room. It’s also wonderful for watching movies in a dark environment, thanks to its superb contrast ratio and excellent Mini LED local dimming feature, which produces deep, uniform blacks in a dark room with very little blooming around light objects.
It boasts a large color gamut and excellent out-of-the-box accuracy, so colors appear realistic and lifelike regardless of the content you’re watching. The built-in Google TV smart interface has a large range of apps and is simple to use, so you won’t need to purchase an extra streaming box. If dark room performance is crucial to you, the blacks aren’t as deep as they are on the LG C2 OLED and the Samsung S95B OLED.

Hisense U6H
If you’re searching for something inexpensive, the Hisense U6H is a great option. You won’t get the same picture quality as higher-end models like the Hisense U8H for TVs in this price bracket, nor will you get as many gaming options, but that’s fine if you’re just watching content. It comes with the most recent version of the Google TV platform, which means there are a plethora of apps to choose from, and the mics on the remote and integrated into the TV allow you access to Google Assistant and Alexa, making it simple to stream your favorite entertainment. If you don’t like HDR content, the Hisense U6GR is a similar TV that uses Roku, but it’s older and a little more difficult to find.
In terms of visual quality, it shares the U8H’s high native contrast ratio, and while its local dimming capability isn’t as good, it’s still adequate for a pleasant darkroom experience. Even in well-lit environments, it gets bright enough to combat glare, and it handles reflections nicely. Despite its low price, the accuracy is excellent right out of the box, and you won’t need to calibrate it.
