You can now share some of your best moments from the year by using Instagram’s new 2022 Recap template for Reels. The template is already active on the app and located at the top of your feed. Similar ways to reflect on the content you consumed and shared over the previous year are also provided by other online services like Spotify and BeReal. A template that can be customised with at least three images and videos is available in Instagram’s 2022 Recap Reel.
The social media site shared Recap Reels by DJ Khaled, rapper Badshah, and Priah Ferguson on Twitter to announce the new template (Stranger Things). Up to 14 images and videos posted in 2022 can be chosen from the template, customised, and shared with your followers. Even better, you can make a collage and sync it to audio narration by the celebrities mentioned above. According to CNET, the new Instagram 2022 Recap Reel templates are offered in English, Spanish, and Hindi.
You can go to the “Create your own recap reel” link at the top of your feed and customise it there to create a 2022 Recap Reel. You can start making your 2022 Recap Reel by checking the Reels templates section if it isn’t already there.
The photo and video-sharing app owned by Meta has previously provided this feature. Playback, Instagram’s own individualised year-in-review feature that allows users to share up to 10 of their most memorable moments with their followers, was introduced last year.
To make connecting with your friends and followers simpler, the service recently announced several new features, including notes, open stories, group profiles, collaborative collections, and more. These features should be accessible on the most recent versions of Instagram for iOS and Android as they have been rolled out to users worldwide.
